I am a political science instructor at the University of Victoria.  I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta and have been following politics since some time in elementary school.  After spending four years in Ottawa doing an undergraduate degree at Carleton University, I moved back West, this time to Vancouver, complete a Masters and then a PhD in political science at the University of British Columbia.  I blog mostly about Canadian politics, but will from time to time post about politics in other countries that I find interesting.

  1. Thank you for your interest in my blog, I am glad that you enjoyed the post. You can follow the blog via wordpress by either clicking the “follow” button that sometimes appears in the bottom right hand corner of the page (I’m not sure how to make this button appear or disappear when I visit wordpress sites) or by pasting the blog’s url into the text bar that appears after clicking the followed sites tab. Alternatively, I tweet every post I make from the twitter account @DJWLake. Thank you for your interest.
